Sensu
A traditional Japanese folding fan - Sensu. Sensu was invented during the reign of the Emperor Tenji (661-672).In the past, craftsmen created fans at home, but today only a few still preserve this tradition. The number of ribs varies between 3 and 80, and they are covered with paper or silk ornamented with painting or calligraphy.
